Understanding Intellectual property

An understanding of IPR, and the regulations affecting the filing and licensing of patents, is important for researchers wishing to exploit the commercial potential of their work or improve their business acumen.

This course focuses on how researchers can go about protecting the commercialisation of their discoveries by patenting them (or not!), and how innovative researchers can avoid common pitfalls whilst guarding against accusations of infringement of others' IP rights.
